Hey all, I'm "mvelt," or "mv," or "hey you" --- and sometimes called "melvit" by a certain goofy person (she knows show she is).
I tend to lurk a lot, mostly because I work way too much of late after a summer of unemployment. So I went from being around all the time to only seeing the crazy fun a few days a week. I'm in my 40s, and I've been gaming and using computers since before they were ubiquitous. I build my own computers, and because I'm roommates with Thrabalen, I tend to also build and maintain his -- often fixing whatever he breaks.
I started on this path because my dad worked with computers at his job, my mom loved to read and encouraged me to explore books, and my cousins got me into sci-fi and roleplaying games. I started with D&D 1st edition, and when they made it into computer games, I was hooked for life.
This past summer I found my way into Deja's community and somehow haven't escaped yet! I don't always have the time to play much or get into all the same games as everyone, but when able I'd love to hang out and get into some fun gaming!
